Teac A-7010 – 4Track Auto-Reverse Stereo Tape Recorder
Offered is a 4 track Teac A-7010 Auto-Reverse Tape Recorder.
This machine has been tested fairly thoroughly. From this test a demo video is available which can be played below.
The unit turns on normally. All the lights are on and mechanically the tape recorder is mostly fine.
Fast forward and rewind function perfectly.
Playback in order, back and forth. Sometimes the right channel creaks slightly. It may be a contact problem. Also the potentiometers creak slightly when operated.
Recording also plausible, although with tape and source there is quite a difference in the VU meter output.
Tape counter does not work.
Even though it passed the test pretty well, the unit is aging and also not entirely complaint-free. To avoid disappointment, the device is preferably offered "as is" as a restoration object for enthusiasts and / or tinkerers!
Many photos document well the optical condition.
The pictured reels and both NAB-Adapters are NOT included in the delivery of this device, but purely shown for decoration.
