Akai X-1800SD Tape Recorder with 8Track player
Offered is a Akai X-1800SD Tape Recorder with build-in 8Track Player.
This machine has been briefly tested for function, and is mechanically 100% functional.
The machine turns on and fast rewind and forward rewind function both.
Playback as well. Both the 8track player and the tape recorder play. The sound is quite good, although the switches could definitely be cleaned. They creak occasionally during operation.
When switching from 8track to tape, this can sometimes result in a momentary channel failure or a heavy hum.
Light is on and counter also works.
Recording not checked.

Because of the described problems, to avoid disappointment, this tape recorder is preferably sold "as is" as a restoration object for tinkerers and enthusiasts!
Many photos document well the optical condition.
Delivery as shown on the pictures, without further accessories!
Unfortunately, no rubber caps are present anymore to clamp the reels.
