The machine was briefly and partially tested for function, but only partially worked.
The machine turned on and played normally, the sound was fine to listen to.
Fast forward and rewind worked fine.
The tube was lighting up and the tape counter was OK.
After a short time of playback, the machine suddenly began to whine and emit an iron smell. To prevent more damage, the machine was immediately turned off.
