Teac 35-2 2 & 4Track Stereo 26cm. Tape Recorder
Offered is a rare Teac 35-2 2 & 4 track Tape Recorder.
This is a full 2 track machine, which has an additional 4 track head for playback only.
This machine has been tested quite extensively. From this test 2 demo videos were made.
Unfortunately only one can be shown below in the template. The other one can be viewed on Youtube.
The device turns on normally. All the lights are on and mechanically the unit is 99% fine.
Fast forward and rewind function perfectly. The playback works, and the sound is pleasant to listen to.
Some minor found flaws:
- The bearing rattles a bit when using the spool function.
- Stop button seems to stick a bit and then sometimes gets stuck.
- Counter works, but sometimes gets stuck for a while.
Furthermore, the recording is tested, but here is a difference audible between tape and source. Maybe just adjusting, but that is not certain!
Despite the good test result, this device is already on age and also not entirely defect free.
Because of described problems, the tape recorder is therefore preferably sold as is" as restoration object.
Many pictures document well the optical condition.
