Saturn High Fidelity Model 402 Portable Tape Recorder
Offered is a Saturn High Fidelity Model 402 Portable Tape Recorder.
The unit was briefly tested with batteries for function, but unfortunately does not work properly.
The unit turns on, but the mechanical functions fail. The little motor is clearly audible, but the reel platters are not driven.
A small demonstration video was made of the operation which can be played below.
This unit is decades old and has not played for a long time. Some of it probably needs a lube job.
Due to described problems, I am selling this unit explicitly as is as a restoration item or for parts.
Many pictures document well the optical condition.
Supplied as shown, so with the two reels without further accessories!
One of the two nuts to clamp the reels is not original.
