Riviera Tube Tape Recorder (Collaro mechanical gear)
Offered is a Riviera Tube Tape Recorder, with Collaro running gear.
The unit was briefly tested for function, but unfortunately does not work. The device turns on normally, but that is all.
All mechanical functions, such as playback and fast forward and rewind do not function.
The buttons for mechanical functions do not stick.
The speaker produces a continuous noise.
Tape counter and tube both work.
The tape recorder has not played for years. A logical consequence is that probably the drive belts have perished, but that's not checked.
Due to described problems, this unit will be explicitly sold as is as a restoration item or for parts.
Many pictures document well the optical condition.
