H.M.V (His Masters Voice) D.S.R.1 Tape Recorder
Offered is a H.M.V. (= His Masters Voice) D.S.R.1 tube Tape Recorder.
The unit was briefly tested for function, but unfortunately only works partially.
Machine turns on normally. On playback, only the left reel rotates, creating band salad.
When turning the knobs, the speaker creaks, so the amplifier seems to be okay.
Fast forward and rewind do not work at all.
This device is already decades old. Probably therefore the drive belts have perished, but I have not checked that.
Due to described problems, this unit is sold explicitly “as is" as a restoration item or for parts.
