Geloso G255 Tape Recorder with original reels
Offered is a Geloso G255 portable Tape Recorder.
The unit was briefly tested for function, but unfortunately does not work fully.
Machine turns on normally, but all mechanical functions, such as playback and fast forward and rewind do not function.
The tube does glow, and when I move the reels with my hand I hear music, so the amplifier seems to be functional.
This device is already decades old. Probably therefore the drive belts have perished, but I have not checked that.
Due to described problems, I am selling this unit explicitly as is" as a restoration item or for parts.
Many pictures document well the optical condition. Unfortunately, the dust cover has visible usage damage, and the original nameplate is missing. Both reels pictured are included in the sale.
