Akai Universal Model-44 Tape Recorder
Offered is a Akai Universal Model-44 Tape recorder.
The unit was briefly tested for function, but unfortunately only works partially.
Fast forward and rewind both work normally.
Unfortunately the most important thing, playback, does not function. Capstan axis stands still.
The tape counter does not work either.
The deck has not played for years. A logical consequence is that probably the drive belts have perished, but I have not checked that.
Due to described problems, I am selling this unit explicitly as is as a restoration item or for parts.
Many pictures document well the optical condition.
The delivery includes 2 matching reels and a power cable.
