Akai GX-230D Auto-Reverse 4Track Tape Recorder
Offered is a 4 track Akai GX-230D Auto-Reverse Tape Recorder.
The unit has been tested fairly thoroughly here and mechanically works 100%.
The machine turns on normally plays both out and back fine. The sound is good to listen to.
Fast forward and rewind function acceptably, although a bit slow at the end.
All lights are on and the counter is functioning.
Recording was not testable. Switches (especially tape/source) and potentiometers crackled loudly and channels dropped out.
Due to the described recording problem and because this is already a device at age, the sale follows explicitly "as is" for enthusiasts and hobbyists.
This to avoid disappointment.
