Akai CR-80T 8-Track Recorder & Tuner combination
Offered is a Akai CR-80T 8-track Tape Recorder / Receiver combination.
The device was briefly tested for function, but unfortunately only partially works.
Machine turns on normally. All lights are on for now, and the tuner works perfectly.
The 8-track player does seem to move mechanically. At least when fast forwarding, a soft mechanical buzzing can be heard. Unfortunately, the player produces no sound...
Also, the device has not been opened to check the mechanical functioning inside.
The track switch unfortunately does not function.
Due to described problems, this unit is sold explicitly as is as a restoration item or for parts.
Many pictures document well the optical condition.
